Our Lead Aerosol Metrologist
Dr. Gregory Vance, PE, CIH serves as our Director of Aerosol Research. Holding a PhD in Aerosol Physics from Caltech, a Licensed Professional Engineer credential (PE #48291), and Board Certification as an Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Dr. Vance leads our testing team in evaluating air cleaners against ANSI/AHAM AC-1, ISO 29463, and CARB UL 867 standards.
Our 1,008 Cu Ft Testing Facility
Located in Boulder, Colorado, our facility houses an electropolished stainless steel aerosol chamber constructed to ANSI/AHAM AC-1-2020 specifications. Challenge aerosols (sub-0.1µm smoke, fine ISO dust, and paper mulberry pollen) are generated under controlled 70°F and 40% RH conditions to establish empirical decay slopes.
